1. Introduction

Welcome to Catch ("the App"), developed and operated by Mathur Harsh Ramnaresh ("we," "us," or "our"). Catch is an ultra-fast, offline-first personal capture application designed to help you quickly dump thoughts, tasks, expenses, and voice notes without friction.

Core Privacy Principle: Catch operates completely offline. Your notes, tasks, voice transcriptions, and financial expenses remain strictly on your device. We do not operate external databases, user accounts, or tracking services.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Catch does not collect, record, or transmit to any remote servers:

• Personal identification data (name, email address, phone number)
• Location or GPS coordinates
• Content of your captured notes, tasks, thoughts, or expenses
• Audio recordings or raw microphone samples
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or device tracking tokens
• Third-party analytics or behavioral metrics

3. Local Data Storage on Device

All items captured in Catch are saved locally on your device in sandboxed storage using Apple SwiftData and UserDefaults:

• Quick notes, text snippets, and checklists
• Categorized tasks and expense entries
• Tags, smart categories, and search indices
• User interface customization and layout settings

This data is inaccessible to other apps on your device due to iOS sandboxing. It is deleted permanently if you uninstall Catch.

4. Microphone & Speech Recognition (Voice Capture)

Catch includes an optional voice capture feature. When you tap the microphone to dictate a note or task:

• On-Device Speech Processing: Catch requests access to the iOS Microphone and Apple's native Speech Recognition framework (SFSpeechRecognizer).
• No Audio Storage: Audio is processed in real time solely to produce text on your screen. Raw audio is never recorded to disk or uploaded to any remote server.
• Immediate Audio Release: The microphone session is immediately closed as soon as you finish speaking.
• Permission Revocation: You can enable or disable microphone access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Catch.

5. On-Device Smart Parsing

Catch automatically parses expenses and task due dates using native on-device heuristics and Apple's NaturalLanguage framework. Your text is never dispatched to third-party cloud AI APIs or external language models.

6. In-App Purchases (StoreKit)

Any premium features or upgrades in Catch are purchased through Apple's App Store using StoreKit 2. All payment information is handled exclusively by Apple. We do not have access to your credit card, billing address, or payment account details.

7. Zero Third-Party Analytics & Advertisements

Catch contains zero third-party advertising frameworks, analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, or Facebook SDK), and zero trackers. The app connects to no third-party servers.

8. Children's Privacy

Catch is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or adults. Catch is safe and private for users of all ages.

9. Data Deletion

Because all data is stored exclusively on your iPhone or iPad, deleting the Catch application from your device will permanently remove all your captured notes, tasks, and settings. We do not store copies on any server.
